Bananas

I have a better image of this that i still need to scan. My mom spreads bananas out on the table to keep them ripe longer. A quirk of my parents house.

An interesting contrast in this image: the reds, yellows, and browns create harmony, yet the bananas are all apart. And though I enjoy the "family quirk" that it reveals, I, of course, always try to read too much into things. I think of this as being a metaphor for a family that is no longer a "bunch," but is now separated and doing their own thing. If it wasn't for the harmonious colors, I'd find the picture sad. But I think the color palette balances out the mood of the image.
